DESCRIPTION:
SubTalk is a social experiment which aims to encourage social interactions
in the subways of New York city.
It´s an instruction based project where people are invited to change/exchange specific given objects (ex. throwaway cameras) while riding the subway trains. Such objects and instructions are given to participants on the starting points of subway lines which they must pass on to another passenger. These objects are not allowed to go over ground and must remain underground - within the subway network.
The objects will function as an interface for social interactions and at the same time they will document the interactions. We hope that such actions and exchanges will create happenstance interactions within the subway network.

INSTRUCTIONS:
Before participating in SubTalk please fill in your contact info and the location where you found the package in the information brochure

1. Look Around you
2. Choose a Person who is, at least, separated by 3 people distance from you
3. Get up and move towards that person
4. Start talking/interacting with that person and explain her the project
5. Using the Camera (inside package), take a close-up (head) of the chosen person.
6. Handover the package/kit to them

Special Instructions for the first person and last person:

First person:
If you are the first person participating in this game , please start by taking
a close-up photo of yourself

Last person:
If you tried to take a picture of the chosen person but there is no more photos in the camera, this mean that you are the last person participating in this project. You have a special task: ensure that this package is drop in a mailbox near you. With you this project can go to the streets!
Please don´t forget to do this!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE?
This project will be presented Saturday, September 15th at Conflux Festival,
in Brooklyn, New York City.
Presentation of the project will occur and packages will be distributed between 4.00 pm and 6.00 pm.
Please feel free to appear at the location to grab your package or send me an email to petra.printscreen at gmail dot com if you want sign in for the project in advanced.
You will act as the first person participating in the project,so don´t forget to read the special instruction describe before.
